Two image arrangements I Marie Combes
"The image is, in my work, where the major process of elaboration takes place.
Photography is a process of capture, a desire to seize fragments of
reality. “Diptyques” is a sampling process in the continuous flow of
images, striving to achieve a representation in many ways similar to an
edited film.
The visual form of the work in “Diptyques” and “Fugitives” is the
result of an approach that is really a construction process. During this
process I explore how a fragment of image matter moves through the
arrangement, leaving its trail, and how it roams, not quite at random,
through the chaos of images."
